Sydney Renee
Sydney Renee is an actor, writer, and filmmaker, and an enrolled member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. She grew up in Poulsbo, WA and is based in Kitsap County.
Sydney has always been a storyteller, filling up countless notebooks with new novel ideas from a young age. She was also involved in the local children’s theater all through her adolescence and loved the way she could bring a story to life for an audience.
She graduated from Central Washington University in 2022 with degrees in English Writing and Liberal Studies with a focus in Communications. Since then, she has been acting in various film and theatre projects in western WA, most recently playing Mary Warren in Kitsap Forest Theater’s production of The Crucible. She can be seen in Mermaid Motel Media’s short films Wasteland and The Handsome Man. Sydney strives to continue telling meaningful stories in different mediums, focusing on the Indigenous and queer experience. She is beyond excited to collaborate with and learn from female creatives in the industry, as much of her success has been a result of the mentorship of the wonderful women around her.
On her days off you can find her reading books, beading jewellery, making her way through her ever-growing list of films to watch, and sipping on a London fog.
