Mia McGlinn
Mia grew up in rural Northwestern Pennsylvania. She has been involved in the arts and performing since for as long as she can remember. In her childhood she was a fixture at her local theatre.
She has a BFA in Acting from Oklahoma City University. While in college, Mia had the opportunity to be a production assistant on the set of Street Outlaws, a reality TV show that filmed locally. She fell in love with being on set and soon was volunteering to help anyone who needed it on their short films. She moved to Los Angeles in 2018.
Through the connections she made on street outlaws, Mia had the good fortune of working behind the scenes as a production coordinator, 2nd Assistant Director, 1st Assistant Director. During the Pandemic she was hired by Wild N Out (Paramount) to work as a Covid Logistics Coordinator and then hired again as their Covid Logistics Manager for the next season. During the Pandemic she had time to consider what was important to her. She decided to take a step back from working in the production department to focus on acting, writing, and directing.
Mia moved to Washington State in 2022 to be closer to her family. When she isn’t on the stage or on set she is writing or hiking with her dog, Olive.
Mia is thrilled to be a part of the Emerging Filmmakers Program and to have the opportunity to learn from other female filmmakers.
