Jules is a writer, actor, singer, and filmmaker based in Seattle, a city she cherishes. A first-generation American with a Vietnamese father and Polish mother, her work is shaped by questions of identity, expectation, and the tension between stability and self-expression. She studied English as an undergraduate and later earned an MBA from San Francisco State University. She spent twelve years building a career in leadership and strategy at a national healthcare company, where she developed a deep understanding of institutions and complex systems. In her transition to filmmaking, she applies this holistic perspective to character-driven storytelling, often exploring the complexities of love and relationships. She is also fascinated by the desires that shape how people move through the world. Since moving to Seattle from the Bay Area three years ago, she has been building a creative community centered on collaboration. She loves working with other artists and sees filmmaking as the culmination of her creative pursuits. Films allow us to experience vulnerability in ways we often cannot in everyday life. This inspires Jules, as she is drawn to stories that capture the human condition with emotional intimacy. Her work invites audiences to see reflections of themselves in her characters' qualities, struggles, and inner lives. Jules lives in a treehouse-style home with her partner, two imaginative young children, and a cat she found in a bush outside the Seattle Center. In her everyday life, she can be found with her family making art and music, reading, thrifting, being in nature, dining in, and - of course - watching films.
