Aiyana is an Indigenous filmmaker and writer who has spent fifteen years delving into all different forms of storytelling; including film, novels, radio, and visual art. They enjoy helping others bring their visions to life and creating spaces that allow everyone and anyone let their creativity shine. They recently released their first YA Fantasy novel, Trial by Sand, and plans on continuing to release fantasy and contemporary fiction novels. Their next novel, Where Tides End, is expected to come out in 2026. Aiyana specializes in screenwriting, acting and producing. They spent five years creating Indie Feature Films in Arizona before moving to Washington to continue in their pursuit of filmmaking. They are excited to use their skills to help grow Emergence Films and their new filmmaker program.
